They aren’t inexpensive but the string lights I bought at the beginning of summer have already paid for themself. No mosquitoes on my patio when the Tiki Brand BiteFighter is turned on. The company says the lights will cover an area of up to 330 square feet with mosquitoe protection. The repellant is odorless and you can turn the repellant pods off if only the lighting is wanted. If you look closely, when the pods are turned on you will see a slight mist.
The glass of the LEDs is shatter resistant. That feature was tested in a recent storm as one end of the string lights became detached (my fault) and they fell to my concrete patio. None broke.
Additional details…
- The string of lights can be expanded. Up to eight can be connected.
- Assuming use of 2.4 hours per day, the pods should last 90 days.
- The pods don’t emit any noise.
- You only need a 120V power outlet.
- EPA approved.
I give Tiki Brand BiteFighter two thumbs.
