Below are the average sale prices of lakefront real estate in the Alexandria Area since the first of the year. Keep in mind that it includes both homes with private lake frontage and homes that are have commonly owned lake frontage. For example, Lake Ida’s average sale price is $245,814 but 5 of the 7 sales have been association properties with a sale price range of $103,000 to $278,000.

A week ago I was on the Central Lakes Trail for a 10 mile bike ride and it was beautiful. In anticipation of more nice weather I decided to order new inline skates. It is cruel that UPS is delivering them today. In a few minutes I am going to shovel the sidewalk leading to my front door. Before I do that and as I watch more snow fall, I am going to provide a quick recap of the active listing status of lake homes (non-association) at some of the most popular lakes in the Alexandria Area.
I never tire of the call of a loon and on a recent visit to Lake Cowdry my path crossed with two loons that were very active vocally. You will only see and hear one of them in the video below as the other one dove just as I was pulling my iPhone out of its waterproof confines.
Not too bad of a day today in Alexandria. I enjoyed a ride on the Central Lakes Trail on my Salsa Mukluk 2 and headed south when I reached the west side of Cowdry, crossed County Road 82 and then journeyed through Lake Latoka neighborhoods and beyond.
