Alexandria has been my home since the age of two when 3M transferred my dad to their location on Broadway. I graduated from Jefferson Senior High School (’87) and the University of St. Thomas with a degree in Marketing (’92). The lakes I have called home in Alexandria are Carlos, Le Homme Dieu, Darling and Brophy. I have been lucky to spend every summer at an Alexandria lake since I was a little boy and there isn’t anywhere I’d rather be in the summertime.
Since 2002 lakefront real estate has been my focus and I’ve worked with numerous lakefront buyers and sellers. I’ve made it my job to know the shorelines of all of the lakes and the demand in any kind of market environment, hot or cold, and stay ahead of the curve in technology to benefit those that have entrusted me to help them sell or buy.
Outside of my real estate practice, I relish any chance to enjoy Alexandria’s natural resources. During the summer you will find me paddling around Lake Darling and Lake Carlos or sitting outside reading (in particular I enjoy any history). You will also see me on the Central Lakes Trail on a bike, skates, or sneakers. My involvement in the community includes the Alexandria Rotary Club (past-president), the Lakes Area Humane Society (board membership), and the School District 206 Community Education mentorship program (Lunch Buddy).

Periodically I receive emails (usually someone looking to sell me something) greeting me as Alex. But, my name is Craig Mische and Alexmn.com is the domain I chose for the real estate site that I launched in 2003 for buyers and sellers of lakefront and residential real estate in Alexandria, Minnesota and nearby communities such as Miltona and Glenwood. The site address used to be craigmische.com but I changed it to AlexMN.com because it is a site about Alexandria, Minnesota real estate and not about me. My goal of course is that people will contact me to help them with real estate purchases or sales but if not, I am glad that Alexmn.com helped them with their decision. Alexandria has been my home for close to 50 years. Life is great in Alexandria.

Craig is awesome.
He didn’t need to, but without any benefit to himself he helped me find a lifetime cabin rental within a mile of the resort where I grew up in Alex. I go to his website to dream about the day that I will have a cabin on Le Homme Dieu. He aerial videos are cool and really give you a perspective that you cannot get even by visiting the listings in person. He frequently updates his site and I look forward to viewing his many very RELAXING videos while a immerse myself in the nostalgia of my hometown. I also love the webcam on Broadway and 3rd. Its super corny, but it relaxes me in my big city life to see the wonderful pace of Alex and watch the weather change.
