With an ultra tight lake home market maybe it is time to consider building. You will be able to get the floorplan that suits your lifestyle and needs as well as choose the materials. The rub is there are very few lake lots at top lakes in the Alexandria area and even fewer that are level with a lake bottom where there is sand with very few weeds. A rub until today.
For sale (UPDATE…this lake lot has sold) at the south end of Maple Lake is a .72 acre lot with 103′ of fantastic shoreline. Some lake properties that are on the market right now have frontage that looks very appealing in the spring but will look quite different in July. Not the case with this shoreline. I’ve been at this lot in the spring, summer, and fall and in all three it is predominantly sands and rocks. As you will see in the aerial below, it is mostly all sand 5 – 10 feet from the shore. Maple Lake is 830 acres and historically is one of the cleanest lakes in the area. The last Minnesota DNR Survey reports water clarity of 20.6 feet.
ALASD (city sewer) is available for connection once a home is built and this year fiber-optic will be in the ground (Runestone Telecom) and then will be spliced to the homes. At worst I have been told this will take place next year. Once done the residents of South Maple Lake Road will have be able to have internet download speeds up to 1 Gbps.
This location is within Alexandria’s District 206 and is a 15 minute drive to Alexandria Area High School. The location offers convenient drive times to the south end of Alexandria (11 minute drives to Walmart, Target, Menards, Starbucks, and more). Other drive times are 15 minutes to Alomere Health, 10 minutes to I-94, and 12 minutes to downtown Glenwood.
