A few days ago I wrote about an Alexandria lake home and advised checking out the shoreline. This property at Lake Ida has really grabbed my attention so I asked my partner, Heidi Schroeder, who is working with the owners, if she’d be okay with me shooting some more video to share. Heidi’s answer was “absolutely, go for it”. So yesterday afternoon I was at the home and put together a short video to show off the exterior. I also took a few interior photos of the home and have included them as well. If you’d like to see this Lake Ida listing (MLS 10-12156…$279,900) in person, just send me a message or give me a call.
Here are the reasons why this lake home has piqued my interest. First, the home is totally move-in ready and is ready to go for the summer (assuming summer does arrive…come on Mother Nature, give us a break). Second, I think many people won’t look at it closely because there are a number of steps down to the shoreline. But, I’ve walked them and the elevation isn’t that bad and they were constructed and designed appealingly and there is nice landscaping. What is most important is that there is a large shelf (a flat area) at the bottom of them. I have owned a lake home that had elevation but until I bought that lake property I only knew level lake lots as that is what the land was like at the lake homes I grew up at. What I found was that being up off the water enhances the view and it also adds to your privacy. Plus, with some steps you can cancel your health club membership.
