Continuing my recent lake ice storyline (Darling and Le Homme Dieu) I now move eastward on Alexandria’s Chain to Lake Geneva. A handful warm, sunny days since last Sunday when these photos were taken will have changed the ice status a little bit but the photos will still give those of you outside of Alexandria a feel for how Geneva is looking this April. For those of you new to the area or not familiar at all, I have added descriptions below each photo.
Geneva at the top, Hwy 29 in the middle, and Le Homme Dieu at the bottom.
630 acre Lake Geneva viewed from the north end near the Public Access. In the middle of the photo on the right the channel between Geneva and Le Homme Dieu is visible.
A view south from the northeast corner.
Another view south from the northeast side of the lake.
A view west from the northeast side. Le Homme Dieu is in the background.
Homes along E Lake Geneva Road. One of the properties pictured is currently on the market.
Moorstone Drive runs parallel to E Lake Geneva Road and is the road that is diagonal in this photo. Donway Drive is on the left. Also visible is a small part of the 27 hole Geneva Golf Club.
A view south down E Lake Geneva Road with Moorstone Drive on the left.
If you are a Lake Geneva fan, I recently learned of an online store selling lake branded tees and there is a Lake Geneva tee and coffee mug available. The store name is Lakes Supply Company and there are a handful of lakes in the Alexandria area with merchandise available.
