Did you know that L’homme Dieu‘s Government Point used be named Boy’s Point? Before it became Government Point it was owned by six Alexandria men that intended to build a clubhouse on it but it never came to fruition. After the boys sold the name was changed to Government Point likely because it used to be government land. Since 1952 it has been owned by the Donovan family. There is, and you will see, a Boys Avenue in this area. As the video below continues you will also cross Le Homme Dieu in a northern path across the east end of Le Homme Dieu Bay towards and above Tolena Point. If you enjoy seeing Bald Eagles, keep an eye on the tree at the end of Tolena Point.
