This post may fall under the category “only interesting to a few people” but I am risking sharing it anyway.
In 2005, I represented an owner of a Lake Mary home wishing to sell. The stars aligned, someone wanted to buy and a few months later we closed. The lake home is located on a remote portion of East Lake Mary Road where there are less than 10 homes. The owner lived out of state and wasn’t interested in moving personal items so I was at the home on this particular day to meet someone from Schiele Auctions. After the meeting, I hopped into my car and got onto East Lake Mary Road and noticed a man walking a dog that looked very similar to my dog. So similar, I decided to stop and say hello.
My dog, Buttons, was born October 1, 2000 and is a Lhasa Poo. Her mother was a Lhasa Apso and her dad a poodle. Low and behold, this dog out for a walk is Buttons’ younger brother, born about a year later on October 3, 2001. His name is Lhaasy and he lives with a nice couple at a home a few doors away from the home I had just left.
Now, fast forward to 2013. A couple that I was working with closed on the purchase of a home just a few doors from where Lhassy lives. After closing, I stopped by to say hello and see the improvements they had made (nice work if you are reading this Aaron and Mary). We were standing outside on the lake side of the home and I noticed a small dog looking at us through a sliding glass door that looked similar to my dog. I asked about it and not only did their dog, Charlotte, have the same parents as Buttons but they were born on the same day, October 1, 2000. Same litter. What are the odds?
