Last Saturday I was chatting with a client of mine that owns a second home at Lake Victoria prior to heading out for a tour with him of the lake via Stand Up Paddleboard and he asked about some of the videos I have recorded with my quadcopter. It happen to be in my trunk so I was more than happy to give him a demonstration. In the video below you will have an eastern view across Lake Victoria and then will turn to the south. From there, because the wind was right near the mph which causes some turbulence and fear of having a water landing, you get a variety of views. Victoria’s water clarity was most recently reported to be 13 feet and in the video you will notice it.
He and his wife live in Colorado Springs with their two sons and absolutely love Lake Victoria and Alexandria. The boys are into wake boarding and because of the shape of Lake Victoria, find that it is most often fairly calm and perfect for time behind a boat. While they will sometimes pass through to Lake Geneva and then on to the three main lakes of The Chain, most often they stay on Victoria. It is 416 acres but because of the shape, they have plenty of shorelines to explore.
