LAKE BROPHY PARK EXPANSION

Lake Brophy County Park “…offers the best views of Alexandria and the surrounding area. The tops of the hills are 140 feet above Lake Brophy. Multi-use trails wandering through the upland prairie lead you to the best views in the county. In 2019 we will welcome a new swimming beach and fishing pier along the north shore of Lake Brophy.” – Douglas County Park Division

I am thrilled about the expansion of this Douglas County park and have enjoyed watching the progress each time I pass by it while out for a bike ride or inline skate on the Central Lakes Trail. It is going to be very nice for everyone and will be especially fun for families with young children.

Recently on a nice day I shot some aerial footage and cobbled together a video to show the progress.
