My schedule is full this afternoon with looking at lake homes with potential buyers but I had an hour this morning to visit Lake Louise for a trip around it on my Stand Up Paddle Board. People that own homes at Louise have a short trip to downtown Alexandria and are very close to Arrowwood (behind the resort to northwest) and the Three Havens area. At 214 acres it is a smaller lake but the water clarity is pretty good with the most recent DNR survey reporting 8 feet of clarity.

Because of the size, I think that it gets overlooked by many people looking for a lake home in the area. After a paddle around the entire lake, I left with the impression that it feels larger than 214 acres. There is definitely enough room to not get bored on a Sea Doo, wind surfer, pontoon or any self-propelled watercraft. For people that like to cruise faster than 5 mph in a speedboat, they might get a little bored. During my time on the lake I observed 3 boats and all were fishing. But, back to my thought about speedboats, I have always thought Lake Louise would be ideal for water skiing enthusiasts. It is round and because of the size, it always seems to be calm and not wavy. This morning would’ve been a little choppy on the bigger lakes in the area and but it was very calm on Louise.
