Saturday morning was the sort of dreary type of day we’ve had too many of lately here in Alexandria, Minnesota. I had a couple of hours before an appointment and even with a chance of rain I decided to head out for some time on my Stand Up Paddleboard. I drove to a public landing located at the north end of Lake Ida in Big Horn Bay. It is a nice access maintained by the Leaf Valley Sportsmen (see photo below). Very nice of them and we are all lucky to have organizations like them.
One of my partners recently listed a 3 bedroom walkout rambler that is at the north end of County Road 34 so after touring the shoreline of Big Horn Bay and Gehrkes Point, I head due east towards the east side of the lake. I was impressed by what I saw when I arrived at Heidi’s listing. Check out the video I shot with my iPhone and note the privacy, the lake bottom and the nice shelf located at the shoreline. There are steps up to the home so having a shelf like this is a big plus as your friends and family can hang out there and and it is also nice to have it to store lake stuff. Also, this lake property has 185 feet of shoreline. Really nice sandy shoreline.
