Last night prior to sundown in Alexandria I went out on Lake Darling on my stand up paddleboard for a trip around little Darling. Earlier in the week while out on the lake I had spotted two adult Loons with two baby loons (pictured). Near the Carlos-Darling Channel last night I spotted them again. The video below shows one of the adult Loons warning the other adult Loon of a possible danger approaching. I kept my course moving away from the adult Loon with the two babies but was still able observe it teaching the two babies to dive. They’d dive for a few seconds and then pop back up. I hadn’t seen this before. It was fun to see.
