Guilty. That I am, of spending too much time focused on my smartphone or tablet. But, I have gotten much better at living in the moment and my phone is put away when driving. You won’t see me walking through city streets looking at my phone and if I am with someone at a restaurant my phone is out of sight. It still amazes me when I visit large cities such as New York City that so many people are looking at their phones as they walk down the street and that there aren’t a higher number of fatalities resulting from a car or bus hitting a pedestrian that was updating their Facebook status. Anyway, back to living in the moment.
While I am enjoying the moment of winter and the holiday season in Minnesota, my mind has been wandering to summer moments. Thus, the video below. It is partly self-serving ofcourse as I’d like to keep people focused year round on summers in Alexandria and contacting me to help them buy or sell, but I also enjoy producing videos showcasing the lakes and Alexandria. So I put together a montage of clips from summer at Alexandria’s Chain of Lakes earlier this week. I’ll be interested to hear if anyone can name the famous Lake Le Homme Dieu woman that appears in the video. She was special and is dearly missed by many.
