SUP at Mill Lake

Mill Lake is located southwest of downtown Alexandria, Minnesota and is easily reached heading west on State Highway 27. In the 42 years I have lived in and enjoyed Alexandria I had only stood on the shores of Mill Lake when viewing homes and land for sale but never had been on the lake. Last Sunday was a beautiful day and late in the afternoon I decided to get a better feel for Mill Lake. I drove to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Public Water Access located at the northeast side of the 450 acre lake and pumped up my Stand Up Paddleboard.
