Wow. Yesterday sure was a beautiful day in Alexandria, Minnesota. Today’s weather is looking like a repeat and the forecast for this weekend is perfect weather. It is some of the best time to be out on a lake but it is always so quiet as a lot of people take out their docks and boats at the end of August. Yesterday afternoon I was on my paddle board for a round trip from the north end to south end and I only saw two boats. Except for loons (when I was at the middle of the lake I counted fourteen loons grouped together), I pretty much had Latoka to myself. The leaves were beautiful, the breeze light and the temperature in the mid-70’s. It was perfect and I reminded myself to recall this day on a cold, miserable February one when I am questioning the sanity of living in Minnesota. I hope you have a nice Minnesota weekend and sock it away in your memory bank too for a winter withdrawal.
