Three years ago at my lake cottage I had some hungry chipmunks that did some chewing under my car which led to a $600 repair and also led me to purchase a scooter for summer use. At the lake I don’t have a garage so now I leave my car parked in the garage at my home in the city and ride my scooter (a Honda Ruckus) to it when I need it. One of my best purchases ever. 113 miles per gallon (a 1.3 gallon tank) and wind in my face. I love it. A favorite route of from Lake Darling to downtown Alexandria is to turn off of County Road 22 on to West Lake Cowdry Road which is as you’d guess, on the west side of Lake Cowdry. Then I continue on across CR 82 through a Lake Latoka neighborhood and past the north end of Latoka and on to Latoka Drive which takes me downtown.
In the video below you get to travel southbound with me (the jingling you will hear is my keychain jingling after hitting bumps) on West Lake Cowdry Road. Look for a displeased goose near the end.
