ABOUT LAKE VICTORIA
Lake Victoria is located on the east side of Alexandria, Minnesota and has a wishbone shape. It is part of Alexandria’s Chain of Lakes with a channel on the north end to Lake Geneva and another at the southeast corner to Lake Jessie. Its size is 416 acres and has a maximum depth of 60 feet. The most recent Minnesota Department of Natural Resources survey reports water clarity of 10.4 feet. The DNR’s description of Victoria’s shape (“…makes it less susceptible to wave action and is often utilized as a calm retreat by both anglers and recreational boaters on windy days”) is spot on.
Lake Victoria is in Douglas County and its lake classification is General Development.
