When I am working with potential lake home or lake lot buyers that are considering properties with frontage at Lake Geneva or Lake Victoria, the topic of the channels to and from each of these lakes always is a point of discussion because they are longer and narrower channels than the channels between Le Homme Dieu and Carlos and also Carlos and Darling. I have never lived at Lake Victoria or Lake Geneva but have passed through each of these channels usually once or twice per summer for many, many years. There were summers that the water level was higher than normal and made it a challenge to get though as did summers with lower than normal water levels. But, I never was not able to get through and recall one summer in the early 90’s passing through in a 24 foot deck boat. I am hoping that someone that currently lives at either lake will pass on a comment about each of the channels and share their experiences as it will be helpful to others.
