Less than 48 hours before everyone in Alexandria, Minnesota was jarred back into reality with snow and ice I recorded a short trip around Little Darling. It is a counter clockwise trip beginning facing the properties along Casa Marina Road. If you look closely you can see Lake Alvin behind it. Big Darling is in the rear as the tour continues. You will see two points. On the right at the end of Casa Marina Lane is Glendovan Point. Across from it on the other side of the lake is Brown’s Point. It was named after a prominent businessman that came to Alexandria in 1860, L.J. Brown. Mr. Brown ran a real estate ad calling it “Point Delight” but that, I think fortunately, didn’t have staying power.
As the video continues you will see a distant view of some of the homes, cottages and cabins of Darling Drive until Carlos-Darling Drive is reached. Lake Carlos comes into view and after the channel between Darling and Carlos we are back to the properties off of Casa Marina Road.
