Before having a gigantic hard drive and equally gigantic cloud storage, portable hard drives were my solutions for smaller drives on the smaller Apple Macbook Air hard drives that I owned. I have a lot of visual content about the lakes of Alexandria and my rule has been to never delete. But there was one portable hard drive that a few years ago I thought was a loss. A few days ago, after an office move (not a brokerage move, just a space move), I spent some time taking a look at that hard drive to see if it was time to recycle. It turns out, it was the cable provided by the hard driver producer that was the issue. The upside was discovering a bunch of videos and photos that weren’t in the cloud and/or that I didn’t transfer.
Among other photos and videos found is this short video above the Carlos-Darling channel and Carlos-Darling Drive late in July of 2015 recorded with one of my DJI drones. Even with the recent fantastic weather in Alexandria, videos like this help me look forward to summer in Alexandria.
